I wondered about that sound from the first note, too! Does anyone know what's wrong with that piano? It sounds like the strings are frayed or something! lol Maybe that's why it didn't make it onto the Selections for Friends album. But even with odd-sounding instruments and a distorted sound recording, his voice still has the power to awe and amaze; that seamless transition from pop to opera and back....perfection.
