Also, there may be actions more strategic and effective for creating general welfare than opposing/resisting the Chinese definition of Tibet as part of China. Say Tibet was "freed"--that wouldn't do much for all the suffering Chinese people *in China*. Really, maybe the best thing for Americans to do is concentrate on freeing America. Better press, democracy, education, here would resonate around the world.

If freedom of speech can guarantee let truth to prevail, then look at the internet, spreading messages of hatred, angers, talking about violence here and there, killing. We are tackling problem by creating more problems. Talk about ccp, US is the greatest country represent freedom world, but does this freedom legitimate it to drive out palestinians, and invade iraq? It is more important for more Tibetan elite to join ccp, and to change it. Hans don't mind to be a buddhist.

There is no doubt Buddhsim comes from India, this is fact. However, it is the Hans, spreading to Tibet, this is a fact too, and later development could be varied, just like buddhism in Thai, in Laos, in other part of China, in Japan. Anyhow, Buddhism, is a peaceful religion and should not relate itself to any politics movement. Spread anger, hatred, is going to damage image of Buddhism that has not related itself to these negative elements for two thousand years.

The difference is that China has way way to many donts in London there is a speakers corner where anyone can say anything they want without fear of recrimination Its true that government and religion should dont belong together this is why the Dalai lama has promoted a sensible middle way the Tibetan government in exile is run democratically and is a better representitive than the CCP which is corrupt and answers to nobody once you have a government without any accountability it will be disaster
