bastianini was the best baritone ever, i wished to hear him with pavarotti in this duet ... bastianini and corelli were an unbelievable dreamteam, just amazing

Their voices are similar in sound, but Hvorostovsky's is substantially smaller.

No one, absolutely no one could sing like Bastianini. Dimitri Hvoroshevsky (sp) , however, is the best out there right now!

Bastianini occasionally Trabuco in Forza. This is a second tenor (I think a G is the highest note) role. He sang it for me in Geneva in the 60's. Di Stefano as an old man took rhis role often as well - he was hilarious

But Tucker and Merill had no scenery, costumes and were singing in Japan who expect more force. |
