He's different from other Russian designers and that is what I like about him.Funny he sewed his first dress at the age of 9 for his mother... very interesting.Usually at that time Russian women sewed clothes themselves ahaha. At least my mom did. So I felt it was rather unsual having his son sewing a dress for her... .

well he works in the business of art, where it is still tolerated to dress like one prefers. shave the head and tie a tie on your neck is not for everybody.

Well it is about time! Last year UK Vogue did a spread entitled "White Nights" with lots of models posing in the beautiful Russian countryside. It was all given a very stereotypical Russian theme yet what was interesting was that there was not a single Russian designer represented! |
