It may seem old and lame until you have a 9 yr old daughter and a 54 yr old man lusting after her; why not? Muhammad did it! It is not emotion and it is not the only aspect that clearly shows muhammad as nothing divine. You would be surprised of how many muslims don't know about this and other questionable acts, not to mention nonsensical verses in the quran. It just makes sense that muslims are the most uneducated religious group in the planet.

dude, the pedo line is such an old and lame argument, really sad that you still peddle that around. If you truly intend to understand or at least objectively judge this religion, go to authoritative sources or experts such as scholars and the sort. Then try to come up with critical questions as opposed to emotional ones. cheers.

why? maybe the biggest part is, because I want to fulfill my God's command, showing my gratitude of His blessing, and reduce my sin of showing skin to strangers. Second, I feel hijab protecting myself from many things, thirdly, I want to wear it to show proudly said that I am a Muslim, cause my face could be tricky ^^. I laso want to be look mature (again, my childish face is tricky!). I want to hid my body flaw from people, I want to feel more beautiful, and be a better woman.

Alhamdulillah, I was born and grew up as a Muslim, my country Indonesia is actually has the largest number of muslims in world. I learn about hijab ever since I was a little girl, along with other basic knowledge about Islam. Ever since highschool, I had a will to wear it, cause some of my friends wear it and they look so beautiful, respected, and mature. I started to wear it in my second year in college, three years ago, and Alhamdulillah until today and InsyaAllah forever. why?many reasons :)
