I bet that makes for some great entertainment from your balcony but c'mon folks who get out in that sh*t.. if it's hard to walk, don't ya think something with 4 wheels could move on it?!?

Yeah, I personally don't like to be around most 4WD drivers in the ice. They seem to wanna prove something, but they forget that stopping is a challenge on ICE for anyone. They thrive more on snow pack and mud. Ice don't give a shit.

I remember that day, It was snow and ice across the state. I was in the Rogue Valley and at took me 7 hours to drive 25 rural miles, granted I spent 3 of those propped against a mail box in a ditch because of the inch of ice on the road I think we had gotten like 8 inches of snow that day. After moving here to Portland I was wandering how people handles the snow and ice on these sloped streets, well this answers that, next time it snows I'll be staying in my dorm room where its safe

Common sense folks, if the road is iced over, don't go driving. Especially if you don't know how to handle it. I'm just seeing drivers getting into a panic that don't know how to handle a skid. Anyone who got in a crash there over steered and applied way to much gas way to fast.Chains are a waste of effort unless you're stuck in the ditch, if you need them to drive on a snowy road do the world a favor, STAY AT HOME.Tired of finding someone else's paint job on my car. Learn your limits.

IIRC. The 80? year old man bouncing off everything with his foot on the gas at the start of the video was a business owner who had never missed a day of work in his life?? I felt pretty bad for the old guy but I'm self employed too and one of my favorite things to do on a day like this one is to stay home and watch the idiots on TV smashing their cars. This one was the best ever. Love the smashing sounds.

Ive lived in Portland all my life and even though the winters are cold and miserable here, we only get actual snow once a year if were lucky- this video was taken in the west hills-which i can see this happening here. Portland drivers rarely use chains. |
