i donno about you but i just got my htc tytn 2 yesterday and installed tomtom and it runs smoother then my tomtom gps itself.

no, it's a genneral problem with all T2's. the HTC rom, and the ports of the WM6 ron to the OEM (like Tmob) do use hardware opmisation on the graphics, which it is capable of doing.

Tytn II/ATT Tilt displays at 15 f/s...there's the problem.
AznShowStoppa (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)

ogrenator (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)

I just got my wife a xv6900 and I can confirm it cannot play video smoothly with any amount of massaging. I cannot believe this is a final product! Her old 6700 destroyed this new phone in playing ability.

This is not fake. The Tytn II's ROM is missing the needed video driver, which is why it's performance is so bad. In it's current state, it's like running your PC without the video drivers. That's all, and it's ridiculous that HTC isn't doing anything about it. What's so hard to comprehend here?

The DON'T run the same speed. To keep up, the TyTn II is forced to drop a LOT of frames, and this carries on through every single application. |
