You sir are an idiot.What means for you an ordinary Latin country?It has no sense.We aren't typical at all,we are the only orthodox Latin country,we are the only descendants of the Thracians,we have a unique culture and traditions.And we are way more genuine than you cuz we survive here from millenniums against all invaders who tried to destroy us.You resisted only 1000 years it's no big deal.

anticommunist revolution, we had couple too supressed with blood by the rulers. so your first is your only glory with all fairness, as they say its nothing like the first one and never will be. before we were conquered by the romans we defeted the celts and burebista rules from today slovakia untill the bug river in russia....same thing applies...never as the first one. so much for the d*ck contest. can we all get along now?

then the 1848 revolution you realise it was a europe wide revolution going, we romanians had it too and more than fighting against the ottoman influence we had to fight your revolutionary leaders also who wanted a bonus called transilvania. the great war (ww1) heroic, dont think more heroic then us sincerily...dont forget we held you, the austrians, the germans only by ourselves in the carpathians ('russian' allies were busy with communist revolution). ww2 you failed miserably like us.

in the most unbiased pov i would say your most glorious time was since you came to europe and made the final blow to the roman empire with attila untill you were wtfpwn by the germans and you were stopped dead in your tracks on your way westwards (king otto i think did it). thats why you stopped in pannonia. all those ottoman empire battles/crusades you did nothing spectaculare compared with the romanians, the serbs and the polish...great fights but unlucky you and the serbs were conquered.

But really, for some good battles and bravery just check 844-1686 period, plus 1701-1711, then 1848, 1914-1945, 1956.

Try to focus on the period from 844 AD to 1686.Austro-Hungarian empire was just an alliance where some Habsburg emperors tried to cooperate some other tried to oppress but its not the most important thing... however, the country was so rich and prospective at the time that Joseph Haydn was a home musician for a hungarian noble family... they just hired him for some entertainment...Hehe no country could have done such things at that time :D

when we arrived there lets say it wasnt so good looking...if you get me. And to keep your overhyped ego down a bit your distant cousins the finns were much more heroic during history. So much for the brainwashing I guess...but nonetheless the 'heroic' deeds against the civilan population are well documented though.

And about history.. well, if there is anything true in your history books it is still hard to convince the rest of the world Romania was a greater importance ever than Hungary.All i wanted to say there is no such country like Hungary, no language like hungarian and no such heroic history like hungarian.When people come to Hungary or hear the language or read about the country they usually realize that Hungary is a really different country compared to all other.

Oh well it is not about how you like Budapest or not. Budapest is among the 10th most desirable destinations in whole Europe, i know it because i work in the tourism industry. Most of the country's income comes from tourism thanks to the cultural and sightseeing facilities which only the greatest cities like Paris London Madrid Rome Vienna Venezia Barcelona and Amsterdam can withstand.We are not racing with Romania its a lower category. |
