I would always listen to your body before a label. SPF is measuring UVB, not UVA. SPF of 15 means if you were to burn in 10 minutes, now you will be protected for 150 minutes. However, the sunscreen needs to be applied liberally, and if your in water or sweating applied every half hour.

This makes sense right? So then I go to the doctor because of my "skin problem" and get treated with the very samething that you said caused it int he first place? If mean the doctor do give me eyewear while he treats me with pulses of light that are from the UV spectrum that is the sun.So shouldnt I get treated with darkness since the light is so bad for you?

I was under the impression the number related to each half hour of protection. for instance a 15 would give you 7.5 hours of protection and a 30 15 hours. Can you clarify this?

Do not take my word for it. Do some research on the internet. Type in "health benefits of the sun" in your Google browser. You will see how good it is for you. Shame on you doctor for lying to the public.

Do not listen to this doctor! He is lying to you. The sun is good for you! A hour of sun a day is necessary for optimal health. DO NOT USE SUNSCREEN. IT IS BAD FOR YOUR SKIN AND PREVENTS YOUR BODY FROM MAKING VITAMIN D. VITAMIN D PREVENTS MELANOMA, BREAST CANCER, PROSTATE CANCER AND OTHERS. Yes, the sun will cause some wrinkling as you age, but the benefits FAR OUTWEIGH the hazards. Sunshine is necessary for good health.

The American Academy of Dermatology and the sunscreen industry have been working hand in hand spreading propaganda about the dangers of the sun for years now. They are spreading lies. Do not believe them. The sun is necessary for health. If you want healthy children with strong bones and bodies, let them play in the sun without sunscreen. Also the sun is good for eye health. Sunglasses prevent the sun from reaching the eyes.

Mexoryl is no better in blocking UVA than is zinc oxide. I like zinc oxide because it is not irritating. There are zinc oxide brands with topical antioxidants like green tea polyphenols.

I have a question. Is Mexoryl better than ingredients in other sunscreens? Does it block out more uva's or just lets you go longer without reapplying? If i reapplied sunscreen every 2 hrs would i be getting the same uva protection as one containing Mexoryl? My problem with sunscreens containing Mexoryl is that they dont contain any antioxidants thats why i am wondering. But i really want whatever blocks the most uva rays as i have VERY sunsensititive skin.Thank you so much for your help!
