Thank goodness it wasn't aired in the US. This is only Macross series I loved so much.

No they are not remakes....They are sequel series, not remakes....Macross 7 takes place in 2045-2046, and the current series Macross Frontier takes place in 2059, and the original series took place in 2009-2012, The only remake of the original series, is the Macross Movie Do You Remember Love? Which is a retelling of the series....
