Im a DJ/Beatmaker, and also a huge fan of 80s music. My prefered method of making music is sampling, but occasionally i dabble in keyboards and rhythm guitars. LOL...Exposes music is bangin', and from listening to it you can tell its almost entirely sequenced with keyboards and drum machines, not actual studio players.Nevertheless its hot as hell, so hot...that i really dont care that actual musicians werent used to create it.peace

Chants,Hymns,Blues,Gospel,Rock,HipHop.Africans designed it.Europeans packaged it and sold it.Copied it and Wrote articles about it.We were kings FAR before we were a president. We invented government.Stop insulting me.Save that for the niggas who DON'T know. The first Black to do this..To win that.Keep your trophies. We invented statues.Stop lying to me man. We'll wait for you to catch up.

Those who can play or"produce"-as u say- don't have the right to drop their drawls and shit on another persons expression.I USE to feel that way until dudes like Dilla,Mr.West,9th,Pete,Madlib and Ayatollah showed me different. Most of the songs on the radio today ain't even samples anyway.A beat is a beat man.Either it's Tight or it's just another beat...Stop hating and throw your work in the mix. So it can be judged accordingly...LOL.

First off,I used the"Black People" statement NOT as a generalization, but to show the Engenuity of a people who are not fortunate enough to neither KNOW how to play music or to actually re-create THEIR version of the song with that PARTICULAR artist..I already knew you was black based on MOST of the PEOPLE hating on shit on youtubes and blogs are blacks.Sampling was born from niggas looping records out of a need for music to express themselves to.EVERYBODY CANT PLAY!!
cwayz08 (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
How you gonna generalize black people like that...IM BLACK!I got friends that produce and rap that are jus as black as me and share the same point of view.making your own music is TRUE art.making a whole album of nothing but somone elses music isnt.i dont mind like one track sampled here and there but not a whole album.and it aint just us that sample, all races do.you cant honestly tell me you would rather hear sumthin thats been done before than somthin new?
