So what you are basically saying Snowfeathers11 is that the editors rearranged the scenes after the movie was completed without Gilroy's consent or knowledge and THAT is the reason why Gilrot had no idea what scene was to come next in his OWN movie. Umm I don't think so dude!
GQguy24 (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
I just find it soo odd that Gilroy did not know what was going on in his OWN movie as he watched it.

You mean Tony, the writer of his own film... screwed up? Also, thanks for the spoilers.
Snowfeathers11 (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
So what? The scenes in a movie are often re-ordered prior to the final cut. The scenes may have been re-ordered during the editing process, after filming was over.

Did anybody buy the Michael Clayton DVD and watch the movie with Tony Gilroy's commentary? He makes a HUGE error in it. In the commentary Gilroy talks about the scene at the bar after Arthur dies when Clooney goes to see Pollack. Gilroy says that after this scene, Pollack goes back to the office and the opening late night office scene at the begenning takes place, BUT in actuality, that scene does not happen til the next night in the movie. HUGE screw up by Gilroy. And this is on the DVD!!

pjohnson52; With respect,B, we most certainly CAN give back what we already have, but I'm more concerned with what we can get in the future, as are the writers. And as for egos, well, the whole entertainment industry is fueled by it, shocking as that may seem.(Sarcasm) Seriously, tho, what needs to happen is the two sides to sit down and talk sans ego. Then EVERYBODY can get back to work. Wishing you the best! P/O

Bro, we can't lose what we already have! These writers aren't starting a civil rights movement! they need to get over their big EGOS!

Pjohnson52; Time to cowboy up, Bro! If the producers are successful against WGA, they'll come after us next. I know it sucks (I'm out of work, too) but in my heart I have to support the writers. Stay cool, brother! P/O

There is a reason why writers are kept around-- without them, there would be no product to sell. Compensation is only fair-- corporate greed is ugly. |
