No you don't understand if we played without pads people would die, I am sure you've heard that our sport probably wouldn't exist without the use of pads or helmets, because people would fucking DIE plenty of people in the 60's and 70's got messed up bad enough that they had to change the rules of tackles, in fact a lot of the tackles you saw in this video, especially the old ones are from Jack Lambert who would fucking destroy people, guys like him made the rules changed.

welsh rugby players went to america to challenge them to play football and they wouldnt play against us because we refused to use pads...now u guys using fagg pads and us wearing shorts an t-shirt = u guys = pussies, i have this argument regularly so bleh

who really gives a shit in nfl the tackles are harder but they wear padding and dont gimme this shit that i aint seen a professianal match iv seen and been to plenty of and i live in england so i see hell of a lot more rugby than football.and even if you do have padding i bet it fucking hurts!

Stupid idiots, football is a collision sport. Rugby is a full contact sport. Hockey is as rough or rougher than Rugby.NFL Football is nothing like any sport,because its based on constant "set" plays. Each player has a predetermined part in each play. That's why there are pauses because the players have to relay the information from the coach to each side.Doesn't matter, explaining football to the world, is like trying to explain soccer to my countrymen. Same arguments.

one major point in this rugby vs NFl debate: the impacts in NFL are much more than in rugby. you have 300 pound guys in the NFL like Donald Thomas, running a 5 second 40 yard dash. that is a lot more weight hitting a target at a faster speed, than anything in rugby. i know rugby is for some REAL hard guys, but some of them just could not deal with 300 pounds with 5 second 40 yard times.
