And if the snow buries myMy neighborhoodAnd if my parents are cryingThen I'll dig a tunnelFrom my window to yours Yeah, a tunnel from my window to yoursYou climb out the chimneyAnd meet me in the middleThe middle of the townAnd since there's no one else aroundWe let our hair grow longAnd forget all we used to knowThen our skin gets thickerFrom living out in the snowYou change all the leadSleeping in my headAs the day grows dimI hear you sing a golden hymnThen we tried to name our babiesBut we forgot all the names thatThe names we used to knowBut sometimes, we remember our bedroomsAnd our parent's bedroomsAnd the bedrooms of our friendsThen we think of our parentsWell, what ever happened to themYou change all the leadSleeping in my head to goldAs the day grows dimI hear you sing a golden hymn The song I've been trying to singPurify the colors, purify my mindPurify the colors, purify my mindAnd spread the ashes of the colorsOver this heart of mine!******************************I do NOt own this song or band etc******************************

I will let you all into a little secret. When I first saw this on MTV2, I cried my ass off. That lyric "But sometimes we remember our bedrooms/ And our parents' bedrooms/ And the bedrooms of our friends/ And then we think of our parents/ Well, what ever happened to them?!!" kills me every time: my mum found her father dead in his bedroom after returning home years ago (suicide).Since then I've become a diehard AF fan, and have converted a ton of friends- an EXTRAORDINARY band. :-)

That's the way some bands do it. You see it a lot in the Montreal scene, actually. Maybe the Replacements got everyone interested in that with Hootenanny. Who knows?

i know now ^^when there making songs thats just what they do if one has an idea on an instrument then they use that instrument
mattcattt (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
i know they all swap instruments and stuff but why is regine playing the drums and the drummer playing guitar? any reason or just for shits and giggles... O.o
