I'm one of those "old" YES fans (been following them for 35 years) and have watched their many personnel and musical changes with a detached amusement. I may not have immediately liked all the gyrations of the music but, as a whole, have really nothing bad to say of their career or them as individuals. I'm just happy and lucky to have been alive in their time and to have seen them live many times (first time: TFTO tour 1975). Get well Jon!

I agree. There are some albums that I personally don't like (Tormato) but I don't limit myself to one era for to be a true Yes fan is to understand their evolution and desire to explore. If it were not for 90125 I would have never paid any attention to them. I bought 90125 as a teenager and then discovered their great history and appreciate most everything they have done throughout their colorful careers.

I take my hat off to you (Or I would if I had one) I love Yes and follow all their changes. Its good to know someone thinks the same.

Squire was doing something else with the Yes name at the time -- he ultimately owns it, since he started the band. I worship the man, but this happens to have been his stupidity, not theirs.

Goes to show you beauty is in the eye of the beholder I suppose... I L O V E both of the albums you dis... as well as their old stuff. Yes is ever changing, migrating... if you cant appreciate that it's truly your loss.

I agree. There's the original Yes line-up, the Classic Yes line-up, The Moraz era, the Buggles Yes, 90125/ Atco line-up, ABWH, the Union supergroup, the Sherwood/Koroshev era, the core four, and the Prince's Trust line-up. |
