The song is refreshing every time and the great work done by Roshan Saheb, Sahir Ji and the team which has conceived the picturisaton of this song.

Mus.Dir.Roshan proved by his own life-long work that Indian audiences can be entertained most meaningfully only with film music that has its roots in Indian classical music.Contrast it with what is happening today, which is due to the present genre of music directors'lack of dedication to and understanding of the true greatness of our music.Even before exploring the vastness and depth of our system, they rushed to blast our ears and spirits with a jarring cacophony of instruments and human voices.

The song filmed very beautifully on Pradeep Kumar, legendary actor of Bollywood. Melodious music by Roshan, and lyrics by Sahir Ludhiyanavi makes the song immportal. I like the song very much and watch the video every day. What a great combination of Pradeep Kumar, Rafi Saheb, Roshan, Sahir and not to forget the director of the movie, Kedar sharma.

completely agree with you, the music of 1940-1970 was indian playback at it's best, with legendary singers, lyricists, and music directors .. it is hard to imagine so much talent existing in one era .. it is something which is so lacking in today's age of disposable music
