even so there were only a quater of that within America. The rest were stationed in britain,Australia and Eastern Asia.

Just so you know the British only lost the war of independance because of France, our army to the Americans matched 3:1 we bearly had many men anyway as our power was in the navy that was dealing with Asia at the time and so frances army came and helped the American one and found it easy to land, as our navy was on the other side of the world, Frances army totalled at 4.3 million men to our 1.2 million

yeah, actually fair enough. however i AM correct in saying that is was a norman invaison. William was the king of Normandy, his race attacked England under his orders. Thats why its called the Norman Conquest. However, yeah Normandy is a part of modern fance :). On your other point,your right. Although, The American Revolution was a war between Britain and America that France joined. But strictly speaking, France did beat us in the war of independance |
