Yes but Cardiff Blues and the Ospreys are funded outside the WRU as well. Ospreys BOUGHT (which hardly ever happens in rugby) Mike Phillips from the Blues for close to £1 million. They have signed Holah, Marshall, Bowe and Tiatia to name also but a few. leinster may have a significant budget but they can't compete (in financial terms) with the English and French teams and the ospreys

as a leinster fan,I have to point out that you are very wrong,leinster have a huge budget,alot bigger than any of the welsh teams.The irfu give the money straight to the provinces,this isnt the case in wales.

eh,no.leinster are funded by the IRFU.their money is split evenly between ulster, munster and leinster with the change going to connacht.what an ignorant comment to make.the cardiff blues and the ospreys have a much bigger budget than leinster(they're funded by sugar daddies).signings like philips,molitika,holah,marshall,blair and spice to name just a few prove this.who are leinster's big name foreigners?le roux and contepomi,that's it.so stop making ill-informed and fundamentally wrong comments
