I agree. I can't understand how anyone would interpret this song differently. Murphy is clearly musing about settling down from the lifestyle of the road in this song. "Man out of me" is an obvious reference to the expression "make her an honest woman"

Wow. Do people REALLY think that this song is about patriotism? I always thought that it was about rockstars' promiscuity issues. My interpretation has always been something like: "I will never settle down (with one girl); if I ever said so, I was only 'going through a phaise' (and didn't really mean it); who/ which woman will 'make a man out of me?'; of course I've 'thought about' settling down, but come on!; you are no different than the others." How can people see it any differently?
