Yes, there's a tradition of polyphonic singing of the psalms in Gaelic, in Scotland. It's different from this, much rawer; not really sung by choirs but just by the church congregation. It's not musically accomplished in the way the Albanian style is, nor organised: it is sung in ragged, meandering "paragraphs" more than metrical lines! But it's very expressive. It is a form of worship rather than performance. The Coptic churches in Ethiopia have something similar too.

I love the albanian polyphic songs. I think the I am a also big fan on celtic music and I think the celts have something similar. Not sure.

How beautiful! Bella! Manifique! This made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. (In Scotland we also have a kind of polyphonic music, quite different, used in psalm-singing. You can't help feeling there must be relationship.)

e pa pare fare kjo eshte kengetare dhe kenge e veshtire sesht e levte jo si ca te tjera si pune ponit injorantija..pavaresisht se skam asnje lidhje me jugun me pelqen muzika nuk nje kufije apo krahina kure muzika eshte e mire munde te preki cdo njeri qe ka gjak ....
