hmm. Let exam the word N.I.G.G.E.R for a min. Yes it was directed at our ancestors in the most derogatory fashion. Yes, when they protested for what they felt was right, they were beat with that word thrown at them. And yes, I don't have a direct connection with it, but that don't mean I don't care. Before it was used on black people, it was NIGER which is latin for the color black, with no racism intended. Then it was used on slaves because of the color of skin, then the word changed to nigger
