Good point. Then how come you always see "Chief" O'Brien hanging around with officers? That is not allowed. I don't want to be mistaken, for not liking Star Trek, it's just always bothered me.

Miles O'Brien from Deep Space Nine was enlisted, the people running around in jumpsuits on the NCC-1701 were enlisted, there was a enlisted transporter operator on Voyager that you saw once and never again. Other than that I don't know.

Maybe someone can answer a question for me? Where are all the enlisted men (and women) in Star Trek? All you ever see are commissioned officers. I was in the Navy, and all the officers I met couldn't find their ass with both hands and a flashlight. If it was left to officers, the Enterprise would never have gotten anywhere.

It was a costume/make-up reference to the fact that Klingons always look dark, no matter who is playing them (Or were you all just being smart-alecs?).
