Sure guy. Look for stripped down, primarily instrumental tracks. Domestic stuff on Siesta or Tango labels from the early 2000s should be inexpensive, easy to find on ebay and are perfect for this exercise. One piece of advice, before trying to beatmatch, listen to each record separately several times first to get a feel for the way the components of each song fit together and the timing of transitions. Do you know anything about basic 4/4 song structure?

it lets you mess with the pitch without really affecting the sound.

Hey bro, just one question... what does the MASTER TEMPO do, I saw you mentioned it that for playing live you should use the master tempo... what for?? (I'm starting in this DJ Stuff)

No shit man?!..in 5 minutes?and was it watching the BPM counters?cos if not then you are a DJ genius, cos beatmatching can take to master for weeks,months...dont forget,if you let the silicon chip do the dirty work for you,you will never figure it out..

the BPM counter

It DOES NOT work good for Drum and Base and Hiphop, so you have to learn to beatmatch manually anyway!

hi, i'm like fairly new to djing, but have been looking at thousands of vids and things about it. i had one kind of 'taster lesson' whilst i was on holiday this year and did really well apparently. the thing i struggled with most was the beat matching. i couldn't like hear where was 'right' and where was 'wrong', so if someone could please give me some suggestions or tips, that would be brilliant! it's just like the guy said it was 'way off' and i couldn't really tell when it was 'on' beat.
