EXACTLY! Flamenco is classy just traditionally or with orchestra but this is a pathetic excuse to get close to jazz!

I dunno dude, I love this track and I come from the "pureta" side of things. I mean, you can't always listen 2 the same style and arrangement in every single CD otherwise you end up hollywoodifying music, in the sense that u watch a hwood movie and see the same car chase, same moral speech, same punches, same fight, same ole conflict bla bla bla. I mean, I think it's good we have new sounds which in any case are distinctly flamenco, as the trumpet is a quintessentially spanish instrument too.

Well, fair enough..........I'm just not sure I've heard a jazz/flamenco fusion that's really worked! But I'll keep listening :)!

parently your not a musician or a very trained aficionado, artist have to expand, and if i see the sign correctly its a jazz festival, that cigala and company were probably invited to attend, that being said keep listening my friend

I think I agree with you. It just doesn't mix well. I'm not sure why flamenco artists think they have to try and "mainsteam" their art this way.A few years ago Paco de Lucia was touring with a flautist. I wanted to run up there and escort the guy off stage. He just ruined the duende and it was like oil and water! |
