EDSTONE AQUEDUCT
The Edstone (or Bearley) Aqueduct spans a shallow valley carrying the Stratford Canal between Wilmcote and Wootton Wawen. Consisting of a narrow, cast iron trough some 600 feet long and supported by brick piers the aqueduct crosses both Salters Lane and the railway. In common with the other aqueducts on this canal the towing path is level with the bottom of the trough giving pedestrians a ducks eye view of passing boats!
