In Theatres Friday! From the author of Fight Club... A wickedly colorful dark comedy about mothers and sons, sexual compulsion, and the sordid underbelly of colonial theme parks. Victor Mancini (Sam Rockwell), a sex-addicted med-school dropout, who keeps his increasingly deranged mother, Ida (Anjelica Huston), in an expensive private medical hospital by working days as a historical reenactor at a colonial-era theme park.

Weird thing to pick up on maybe, but I'd have pictured Denny as really skinny?? I'm pretty sure that's how he's described.Anyway, I don't really like the look of this... though I might be a bit biased because Choke's my favourite book. I'll have to see the whole thing, but the preview does not look good :S

Such a great author, but this movie doesn't look too good. Anyone seen it, and have a review?

i pictured the banter between victor and denny to be more subtle and less comedic, like real friends. can't judge the movie by its preview but i just get a different vibe off the book than this. fight club, the movie, was so excellent because it was so dark and genuine.
