Although I thought that they were black back in 1967 because this song is full of soul, this is blue eyed soul, very soulful song

Then again when the respect is due, the rappers/producers should concentrate more of composing the songs instead of using samples from old songs to back up the lyrics. Eventhough there's only limited number of chords it would be far more rewarding to listener as well. Allthough a different genre just think how many albums AC/DC has done using the formula not always succesfully but often with driving results. Snoop Dogg's Sensual Seduction is retro sounding but new!

I was a young teen growing up in Brooklyn New York when the Rascals were big. Me and my friend called Dino Dinelli (yes, entertainers phone numbers were listed back then) and sang a song to him we made up over the phone. We are glad he didnt hang up lol. He was very nice! Click on my name and click on YOUNG RASCALS and its me and my friend many years later singing the song we sang to Dino. Those were the best days!

No man. Rap just allowed young people to express their feelings, just as the kids did in the 60's. I am an MC/Rapper, but i get all my inspiration from dudes like these, and this beautiful groove tune.

Our roads were not big enough for cadillacs in the sixtys, so we drove down country lanes and pulled in where the grass was longest and just layed down.
