hey, thanks for mentioning Jimmy Blythe on Youtube! I play a couple of his great tunes which I might upload videos of to Youtube sometime! I can hear a bit of Blythe in Hersal's stuff too... remember that Jimmy was only about 23 when he made his first recordings, so I guess this stuff is really young people's music!

Hi again (i didn't realize I've been commenting on my brother account but anyway). I have the original recording of this song on my computer. Have you heard it because your sounds almost the exact same. Maybe ill post it.

Yeah the left hand toke me while before I could play it but with some stretching exercise I could do it :D

Great to here my favourite piece of piano music played so well (and like always amazing in the left hand which is the true hard part of this piece i think)

Bootiful! Yea - HERSAL THOMAS. Recorded 22nd Feb 1925 in Chicago, when he was 15! I've got it on MAGPIE PY4404, but it must be around elsewhere. |
