A six-barreled ROCKET launcher. Just like the Katyusha, it was rocket-based artillery. BUT the two weapons had several differences that proved to be decisive in comparison. Mobility, fire power, production. The Nebelwerfer found it's home in the dense hedgrows of Normandy as the Katyusha's claimed the open country across Russia all the way into Berlin.

Man that T-34 got tanked. But it was so feared because of its terrifieng siren sound that made everyone run for cover when it bombed. However, as great as this plane may be, it was not the war machine with the biggest fear factor. Oh no! And it also wasn't the T-34 or Me-262 or P-51 Mustang or you name it. No, that title belongs to the TIGER. It's name alone was enough to scare the shit out of the Allied troops. I don't want to know what was it like being an Allied soldier, facing a TIGER.....

True... The sounds produced by the Katyusha rockets tore tuge gaps in lines and provided not just destruction of morale, but great boosts in morale for the sending side. The Germans had their own too... Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the name of their equipment was screaming minis or Nebelwerfers
