There is a lot packed into the 104 inch long car -- a six-disc CD player, two cup holders and an iPod connection in the glove box. The car gets an estimated 40 mpg. The door panels are removable, so owners can easily change the colors.

It's a fantastic car, the best I have ever owned. :) I love my Diesel (Canadian) smart! Handles great in the snow, better than most cars on the road, believe it or not.

The Smart Car is already in Canada and has been for some time. I saw a couple at an auto show in Saskatoon, SK, and there are two dealers in that province.I wouldn't drive it.

Electric cars are for idiots like Al Gore; one of the limos in his ever-present motorcade can carry some spare batteries for him, so he doesn't get stranded.

Riiight. And it'll probably go all of about 50 miles before the batteries crap out, and then you're walking.
