You can get this version of the song off the movie soundtrack released in '87 on Columbia or off like Limewire.

By the way, original rude boys weren't about equality and anti racism, they were about starting trouble as they were trying to survive in a stagnant Jamaican economy, not about wearing bargain suits from JC Penny and their dad's loafers like today. Tokyo Ska Paradise are amazing I agree.

Yea that's right, this song was originally released by Byron Lee and the Dragonnaires who still perform today. They've always played big band ska (even pop) and Fishbone's version in this flick is perfectly goofy for the era. Come on its the 80s. Byron Lee was half Asian and half Jamaican so I think seeing all colors and creeds enjoying the beat is fine.

you do realise - although this movie and its actor are super goofy - that ska and bein' a rudeboy means black/white together? As in no segregation and racism cuz you're dark or light.

Didn't know that. I hadn't heard the song in years. Now that I see all the rest of the comments, there's a lot of history here. I've got to go back and check it out.
