It depends on what you want to do and what you mean by "work better" (on what?). All of the additional fluff you see with Linux can be changed or altered to run in the same sort of manner as Windows. Additionally, Linux seems a little faster loading up and just doing tasks to me than XP does.It's a matter of choice.

yes, but you also end up with a computer that is not as compatible, linux runs windows, and mac software, it is also free, that is how it is different than windows blinds
