Well, actually, around the 8th, 9th century AD, Muslims already were aware that the Earth was round, deriving this from their reasoning and coorborated from the Qur'an itself. So i don't what all this is about. Although it is pretty funny. The individual that posted the video obviously is not aware of the many significant contributions by Muslims to experimental science. Far far too many and far too crucial to the scientific world to be trumped by this silly man.lol.

"howa alathi 5alaqa alayla wanahar wa shamsa wal qamar" in the arabik gramir the the sun is becoze the refrince was day and the moon is becoz the refrince in the bigening of the sentince was night,@qulin fe falakin yasba7oon" swim along each other the refrinse here is 4 the sun and the moon not the earth so this implies that the sun and the moon both orbit the earth and not the earth orbiting the sunand this ayaha didnt mentune the shape of the earth at all

wow just wow, another proof that religion doesn't do shit in mans understanding of the universe, read it in few thousand year old book and DO NOT question it, or invisible man in the sky will throw lightening at you... its sad really

Damn, I bet the noble Quran also tells whether Internet Explorer 7.1 or Firefox 3.0 is the better Browser. (at least if you know how to interpret it like this old guy)Get real! The Quran tells nothing about astronomy because it simply has nothing to do with religion!

"It is He who created the night and the day (Earth), and the sun and the moon, all (the celestial bodies) swim along, each in its orbit with its own motion. (The Noble Quran, 21:33)"Quran clearly says earth is round and moves around in orbits. Night and the day is earth, sun and moon each one traelling in its own orbit. The spread out in other verses is the earths ground and space.

Just like Christians he doesn't even read the book. Anyone educated in the Koran will tell you that it uses the word tekvir "to wrap around" when referring to the transition of day and night suggesting that the world was round.Silly creationist.

One amazing Hadith:Ibn Abbas (AS) narrarated that the Prophet Muhammad PBUH was asked:"Where does the sun set and where does it rise from?"The Messenger of Allah PBUH answered:It (the Sun) is going in a nonstop and constant motion, it does not stop or disappear. It sets in one place and rises in another, so some people would say that the Sun had just risen and others would say that the sun had just set.

preachers of intelligent design, believers of the moon landing conspiracy, televangelists, global warming skeptics... you really think that the western world doesn't have these kinds of people? talking heads in the western world are not far from the 15th century science that these fellows are using in the video. Do you forget that christians quote the bible to prove evolution wrong? Its time to rise above all this. Open your eyes and see we're all alike!! |
