Alright, how about we load them into an A380, take off and crash them into a mountain? Realistic enough?? The reason the people weren't panicked is because it was a TEST! they knew they weren't going to die. No children or elderly, because chances are, all those people were employees. The test, most probably, was to prove to authorities that the aircraft can be evacuated within 90secs, fully loaded. 'Cos if it couldn't be, it's not safe and wouldn't be allowed to fly.
