no matter what anyone says, social distortion is Punk, but i can honestly say i was hoping for cold feelings to be in rock band, that is such a kickass song, but hell, i'm happy to even have a social distortion song

Truer words never said. Also, there are two kinds of people: those who love music, and those who think they do. The latter are bound by legalistic totems: this is punk, this isn't. It helps them feel better about bonding with something they don't understand. Great video, saturated colors, our immigrant ancestors. Great band.

The Clash, an undeniable punk band also did some rockabilly. Considering Ness was a fan of the Clash, it makes sense he would do some too. So it is still punk. As Joe Strummer once said, the punk police are out again.

I love it when people will tell you what is and is not punk... like they know. The Youtube generation is one that has been spoon fed "punk" by MTV2 and Hot Topic. Get a clue. Music is one of two things, good or bad. This is good.
