Not exactly. I play drums for almost 20 years now. In a classical orchestra, sometimes are represented jazz- or alternative (full) sets which you can normaly find in big-bands, rock bands or musical-support bands. It's not only about "hit the drum", you would wonder what a drummer can realy do with only one drum. (and the whole set)

well only a certain type of drums would be in classical u wouldnt find the types of drums there are normally nowa days in classical and its also considered classical because of the song being played
