The ending of that teaser killed it for me. That made it seems cheesy. Perhaps this could explain the Mooninites from ATHF.

Exactly. I usually reserve good plot movies as rentals. You go to the movie theatre to take advantage of the big sound and picture.

There doesn't always have to be a complex plot for a movie to be enjoyable. Sometimes you have to suspend disbelief and just relax.
