I agree. In my opinion, this song has a concilliatory tone to it. It's a "Please forgive me, give me another chance" gentle song...meant to be sung in an understated way. (a la Willie). This should never have been a booming "I'M SO SORRY. LISTEN TO ME" kind of song. (a la Elvis)
