well.... i'm not surprised by some comment here.. I am so proud to be malaysian... i think the space programme is great... i would just ignore all the negative talks... they're all jealous and uncivilized.

Well I have to admit that Dr.SMS's mission to space was somewhat 'amatuer'. After all, the scientific tests that were done in a zero gravity environment seem somewhat 'petty' for the betterment of mankind through science. But anyways, big acheivements always start with small steps. Forge ahead Malaysia!

Really waste of public money. Before they seal the deal to purchase the Sukhois, Government should request a space research & technology centre to be setup here. At least every Malaysian can study the space technology and maybe one day, we invent our own rocket and go to the space. But unfortunately, our half-past-six Government use the huge sum of money to sent only 1 Malaysian up with know nothing about space technology, Is this type of "Angkasawan" will make people proud of Malaysia?

The Government always advise Malaysian don't sell off their contracts to gain quick money. But what happening now is the Government itself wants Malaysia to go to the space fast but knows nothing about space technology! All Malaysians will be very proud if one day we invent our own technology, rockets and space station. Our "Angkasawan" just like travelling in the Boeing Jet and the different is Government have to fork out more money for the rocket fare and thus go higher to the sky only.
