百恵さんを見つめる大物スター達の顔、顔、顔。荘厳で美しく、心から愛する人の下に嫁ぐ女性の美しさと決意が画面と歌声から匂い立つようです。現在の歌番組でこれほど全てが完璧なシチュエーションで視聴者に伝わる場面って滅多にないと思います。本当に永久、永遠の歌声、歌番組の伝説の一場面だと思います。

The more I see videos of her, the more I recall that day in 1979. It was in an elevator of a hotel in 福岡市. 百惠-chan & a lady friend happened to be unguardedly laughing as they hopped in. Knowing I was a 外国人 they coyly talked in Japanese about the young guy in flight uniform in front of them. They were surprised & apologized when I talked to them in 日本語. In the end we all just laughed about it. If she sees this, she will likely remember that day. さよなら 百惠-chan. Thank you for your tenderness.

｢いつものように　さりげなく｣......想い出は普段の何気ない会話、行動などではぐくまれると信じています。　卒業式などで生徒とお別れするときには、この言葉を引用しています。百恵さんの歌唱力は言うまでもありませんが、阿木さんの歌詞には印象に残る言葉がとても多いですね。当時、私は小学生でしたが、いまだに歌詞を覚えています。そして40歳近くなり詩の意味が心に響くようになってきました。Thank　you　for　your　tenderness．
