Lowe was always ice cool under pressure and a very modest man too.

Remember seeing it at the time. Was a great acheivement. Wonder if he got a free kitchen as well?

Why this feels so different from, say Barnevelds 9 darts? Lows slow motion... he's giving his all to every dart, in death silence.

shame Sid Waddell wasnt the comentator he would have screamed the house down but he worked for BBC, ITV's Dave Lanning did a good job though i thought Lowe deserved to get it hes done something that Eric Bristow or Jocky Wilson could not do sadly.

And this was back in the days when a hundred thousand pounds was a lot of money..... :) well done ol' Stoneface. Nowadays they'd go for triple 20, triple 19 and double 12, but John always liked the eighteens - and this is a real education for the modern day Sky Sports fans, things were a lot less glitzy and a much slower pace a quarter century ago - sponsored by MFI, for goodness' sake!!!

Can't believe he got £100,000 for that back in 1984!!!!!!! He wouldn't have had to work again!
