I agree with indianelephant.Most german soldiers were fighting the russians. And a lot of soldiers were captured in north africa.D-Day only speeded up the allied offence in 1944. While it was obvious that german was allready losing. (Thanks the battle of stalingrad and russion winters.)

the normandy campaign is the so overated, i hate when movies and games make it look acually important and was in danger of failing. in 1944 the russians had already won the war , any other campaigns were pointless.

If hitler had taken over russia we all would be speaking german... the battle of stalingrad was the most important battle of ww2.

Dude, Germany surrendered on May 11th 1945. And they surrendered with more than 100,000 remaining. My cousin is a world war 2 expert.

Hitler got his strength from big countries like america and soviet union refusing to stand against him until he attacked them. Sadly people stood by while Hitler invaded other countries. This is where hitlers strength came from. Millions died because people stood back, shame on those countries who didn't fight Hitler from day one.
