With some of the statements, this has got to be satire - stmts such as giving the hobos doing jigs and giving them polio. I guess he was satirizing k burns docs. But he needed to pull it even more absurd to be more funny. I like straight delivery, but when you do not know it was supposed to be funny till 95 pct of it is done, it can be modified.
