i remember when i was little, i watched this in the living room and my parents happened to be in the same room with me, and my uncle stopped over to talk to my dad, and when the giant said SMoooooooookeeee and did all the actions smoking the ciggy my uncle and dad just roared laughing and couldn't believe kids at my age at the time were seeing that

I bet the deleted scene from this was the both of them getting high, Mickey and that giant. But then the plot would have changed dramatically from there.

well, being in a country where a lot of people still smoke hand-rolled tobacco cigarettes, I suspect it was that that the "joint" was intended as originally by Disney
