not only Francis Cabrel wrote the song, it s also Zachary Richard that wrote the song....well I think it's Zachary Richard that wrote the song and Francis Cabrel the music, I dont really remember what Zachary Richard said on the radio but it was something like that...he's from Louisiana also

The song was written by Francis Cabrel (huge star in France) after the terrible hurricanes that devastated New-Orleans. It was his personal initiative to raise funds for New Orleans musicians who lost everything in the disaster. Needless to say Cabrel is an A1 musician (guitar) and fanatic of New orleans music and musicians. Title of the song "la promesse cassée" means: "the broken promise".It just shows that quality is way above understanding...
