Yopu make a good point, I, among many others have religion ( including atheism, which may or may not be considered a religion.)not at all derived from their ancestors. To find it possible to beleive in a giant invisible man in the sky who sees everything and wrote a book that is the ultimate truth and so much so where it can be referenced to itslef, is a neolithic notion, a fairytale created by stone-age primitives.

What a bad argument. She is an atheïst because her dad is an atheïst... Yes buddy, same goes to you too. Your parents are christian so that is why you are one too. But if you were born in Türkiye or Marocco then chances are you would be a muslim. If you would be born in India you would be a Hindu. If you would be born as an aboriginal then you would believe in the DreamTime. So that argument is a hollow one. Fact is there there is NO proof of a god so that is why she is an atheïst

goldeneagles, the problem here, the point you're not seeing, is that there is as much Biblical basis for these people to say that YOU are wrong as there is for you to claim they are wrong. The problem with religion is it does not provide a basis for any judgment. Thus, acts of evil are made so much more cruel, and even acts of kindness become pointless. Which is worth more: I tell you I do good because God said so, or because I decided it was right rationally?pareidolon(dot)livejournal(dot)com

what these people are doing in the name of YHWH is an atrocity. friends, don't mix those people in with the true followers of the King. we're not all like them. what Nicole experienced was some bad apples from the bunch (Matthew 7:15-17). my God is better than what these people are reflecting; please, just dig into His text and find out about Him. my deepest apologies on behalf of my ignorant brothers and sisters. mmm, not necessarily. it says "Love the LORD your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength; and love your neighbor as you love yourself." mark 12:29-31. look up revelation 21:6-8 for the whole hell thing.
