Well, no offense taken but i have trained escrima for many years. Both with Datu Kelly Worden and Rick HErnandez. Honestly, inside, outside, your around the box, the empty hand only works when someone leaves their arm there for you to attach. Dog bros do not attach.

Never mentioned catching. I did mention attaching though.This stuff is good when trading shots count. i.e. Knife. The empty hand just doesn't work. Kelly Wordens style when he's amped is all punches and low line kicks. Rick Hernandez's stuff the most street flip style.

The point is not to learn and catch punches. What happens when you are in a clinch and someone is pushing you away? Bam, there is your easy attachment. No offense, but if you can't think outside the box you will never apply 90% of what you learn to a real life situation.
