ugh theyve left it wide open everything is speculation anyway theirs no way fromt the video you cant clearly distinguish wether he gets shot from the person walking in the person going to the bathroom or maybe it was a representation of the constant risks involved in being as high as he is, or maybe all the stuff its taken to rise so high and stay their who knows...

A few more points:5) The whole "three" thing is ridiculous. If anything, the number three (and 3 o'clock) is a GOOD thing to the Sopranos. Tony's ICU unit after getting shot is #3--he SURVIVES. Paulie calls his doctor for biopsy results at 3 AM--he finds out the CANCER IS IN REMISSION.6) The whole Tony-died argument is based on hypotheticals, and to a large extent, on logical fallacies.7) MOG's trip to the restroom is not necessarily a "Godfather" reference.

A few points:1) We really don't know that "Members Only Guy" (or, "MOG" for short) is a hitman.2) We really don't know that MOG was even looking at Tony. (Remember, looking in someone's general direction is not the same as looking AT them.)3) A bullet may indeed travel faster than the speed of sound, but not always. And I must repeat: We don't really know if MOG is a hitman.4) Tony was not reaching for a gun in the last shot. He was likely reaching for another quarter.

best ending ever!!! it was like poetry. of course he dies. it wasn't shown because any death would not be good enough for him so they decided not to show it. great stuff by Chase.whoever thinks otherwise did not get the series at all. he was bound to die

Worst ending to a series ever. It was a coward move. Scared to kill tony and scared not to kill tony. So he makes us do the work he was too much of a pussy to do. Or was he just lazy and lacked the focus to end this show like a man. The director and writer should be wacked for this crappy ending to a good series. I guess thats white priviledge you can end a show with a black screen and people call you genious.

Of course Tony died. That cut to black scene was tony's prespective, as a bullet travels faster than sound, he didn't heard the gun shot. I think the ending was great, many people just didn't understood it.
