I work with latinos some legal some illegal. And we have had this debate and yes they consider themselves as Americans. That's why I prefer The United States or The Republic. And as you say "formal name of the country" We are also formal colonies of the United Kingdom. And we gave that up. As we should America. I aslo have a friend from Canada who clames to be an American. The word American to me is the same as the New World Order. I choose not to use the word.

The "United States of America" is the formal name of the country, and "America" is the authorized short-form name. It can be called that, unambiguously, because no other country in "the Americas" has "America" in its name.

I hate to say it, but this video is boring.I hope RP gets the nomination...somehow I don't think that McCain will get it- can you imagine the upset? Obama thinks he's got it in the bag at this point, and against McCAIN, he effectively does. I am praying the delegates don't choose Huckabee or Romney over Paul.

D Paul has emphatically asked us NOT to write him in. After all the cheating that the establishment pulled off in the Primaries, the sense is that they would wreck havoc on our write ins. Hopefully, Dr Paul WILL get nominated! BUT, if not, then Dr Paul's choice is Chuck Baldwin. RP can't officially endorse anyone right now, But Baldwin is his choice.
