How do you rate this against the MicroKontrol from Korg? Stuck between which one to buy...

All in all, If I had to do it again, I'd still buy the Axiom 25, if only because I could find nothing else that small, with pads, that well built, with such nice keys, and for that price. But the knobs are not something I'd like to use to "perform" live by sweeping filters and other stuff like that. They are "Clicky" endless rotary knobs, and they have a lot of clicky resistence when turning. The "acceleration" feature, while it helps, it is imperfect, and some plugins sound "steppy" with it.

I personally HATE the rotary knobs on my Axiom 25. Otherwise I love the little keyboard.

costs about $100-$200 but i recomend getting a M-Audio 61 keystation es. you dont get all the knobs and drum pads. but you get the 61 keys which is very helpfull. because you caqn bring in someone who can play piano and have them do some playing and they get enough keys to work with. well worth the buy
